Low is the eleventh studio album by British musician David Bowie, released in 1977. It is considered one of his most important and significant works. The album was the first in the so-called 'Berlin Trilogy', all of which were written in collaboration with Brian Eno in Berlin. The album's avant-garde, experimental developments were continued on Bowie's next two albums, 'Heroes' and Lodger. The album's format was unusual for its time, with the first side containing short, minimalist tracks and the second side featuring longer, more traditional songs. The album's themes include lethargy, depression, alienation, and suicidal behavior.
